The following situations will void the warranty. Read carefully to ensure your coverage stays active throughout the warranty period.
Contact of framing elements with corrosive materials such as soils, fertilizers, chemicals, or moisture-retaining substances.
Failure to remove debris or provide proper drainage of water from frame surfaces.
Damage from corrosive environments, storms, or acts of God — including hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, and other natural disasters.
Alterations, abuse, or misuse of the unit by the buyer. Any modification to the structure will void all warranties.

Yes. The 20-year rust-through warranty only applies to buildings constructed with 12-gauge, 2¼-inch square tubing. Some 12-gauge certified buildings may include 14-gauge elements and are still covered. Buildings made entirely of 14-gauge tubing receive a limited warranty.

Yes. Any modification or alteration to the carport or metal building will void all warranties provided. This includes structural changes, additions, or attachments not performed by Get Carports.
Horizontal roofs over 31 feet are not covered under the 20-year rust-through warranty. For structures over 31 feet, we recommend an A-Frame or vertical roof, which provides better water drainage and is fully covered.
No. Damage from storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, and other acts of God is excluded from all warranties. However, our certified buildings are engineered to withstand specific wind and snow loads. We recommend selecting a certified option rated for your local weather conditions.
Warranty terms are tied to the original buyer and installation. Contact our team for specific questions about warranty transfers if you sell your property.
The warranty assumes normal care and maintenance. This includes removing debris from the roof and frame surfaces, ensuring proper drainage so water does not pool on the structure, and avoiding contact between framing elements and corrosive materials like fertilizers, chemicals, or soil.
